On the 1st of August early in the morning we left for Chicago. As soon as we got there we drove straight to Nauvoo. It was a long 5 hours in the car, but we finally got there. It was so fun to be in Nauvoo again. The last time I was here was for Grandma and Grandpa Burgess's 50th wedding anniversary. The next morning we got up and spent all day in Nauvoo. We went on the carriage ride, wagon ride, and went to lots of the shows and plays.
It was amazing to feel the spirit that is in Nauvoo.
It was fun to go to the Scovil Bakery since he is one of my ancestors. After we spent the whole day in Nauvoo we went to Carthage Jail. It had been years since I had been here and it was cool to be reminded of how important these two towns are and the role that they played in the church.

Awesome pictures of your trip to Nauvoo. We have been able to take our girls to Nauvoo a few times in our trips across the country and it's amazing to see the beginnings of such wonderful saints.
I love that you took this trip to Chicago and all the new memories you made there. Thanks for sharing your amazing pictures.
