Kemry is 5 weeks old and we love her so much. Tomorrow is a big day for our little girl where she will be having her first surgery, on her foot. I can't believe that she is already going to have a surgery. I have never been good with medical stuff and here I have a baby that will be having surgery and getting her fifth cast at 5 weeks old. I cried when she got her first cast and I'm sure tomorrow I will not be much better with holding in the tears.
I'm so glad we got to spend Thanksgiving as a family. I'm so thankful for a husband that is able to handle medical things and will be in with kemry tomorrow during the surgery.
I'm so thankful for my sweet baby that has been so good while she has had to wear the casts. The doctor says kemry is one of his favorite patients because she calmly sits there while he puts on the cast, instead of crying like other babies.
I'm so thankful that we only have 2 casts left. I'm grateful for doctors that have the technology they need to fix her foot while she is little. I'm so glad that she will never remember this stage and that it will not prevent her from crawling or walking.
I can't wait until December 23 when kemry is supposed to get her last cast off and will move to wearing braces on her feet. We are so excited for that day and are ready to make it through these next few weeks.

Elaine, I can't get over how cute she is! Good luck with surgery tomorrow! I will be praying for you guys and the dr. PS you should totally make a count down chain until she gets her last cast off :)
You are both amazing parents. Kemry is adorable and I love that she is patient with all that has happened in her little life. You are in our prayers.
