It has been a busy year and we are starting to get more snow in Idaho. Since I got a sewing machine for Christmas I have tried to work on more crafts. Brenda and I got a pattern for an owl hot pad. It isn't perfect and there are things that I would change, but I actually did finish it.
This was the first time I had done binding on anything and it is not straight at all. But that is ok because this was a practice project.
I also made a headband. I put a pink pattern on one side and black on the other. If I did it again I would not make the band so wide, but I liked how it turned out. The headband was easier than the hot pad, but I am just glad that I actually did finish two projects.
Hopefully soon I will have more crafts to post that I have also finished!

Hooray for finished projects. I love that they are PRACTICE. . . . you are trying and each time you learn from doing something. That is FANTASTIC.
I love them both. It's fun to sew and create. Hope all is well with you guys. . . . love you.
You did a really good job! It does take lots of practice but that is half the fun. ;) I can't wait to see more.
